Washington D.C. to Ibiza

Washington Dulles is a strong starting point for an Ibiza trip. Nonstop service to Madrid typically operates from Dulles, alongside long-established routes to London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Zurich, several of them year round. As everywhere in the US, the pattern is one transatlantic flight to a European hub followed by a short onward hop to the island; check current schedules for your dates, but the shape of the journey is constant.
From Madrid or Barcelona the Ibiza leg takes about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes and runs in every season. The other hubs connect densely in summer. From November through April, Madrid is the dependable routing from Washington. Total journey time typically falls around 12 to 15 hours door to door, and an evening departure from Dulles lands you in Ibiza by the following afternoon.

- Book the whole journey on one ticket where possible, so bags check through and connections are protected
- Allow a comfortable connection window at the hub, especially in peak summer
- In winter, prefer Madrid or Barcelona for the most frequent onward flights

Washington travellers are well placed to make the connection part of the trip.
